Kate has set up a Just Giving page to enable people to donate towards a memorial for Phyllis. This will hopefully raise £500 to Commission and install an enamel memorial plaque to Phyllis McDowell, sited along the Old High Street, Folkestone where she often painted.
Phyllis McDowell meant so much to so many people in Folkestone, particularly amongst the creative community.
In memory of her contribution to the town we would like to commission an enamel plaque of one of her paintings and arrange for it to be permanently installed along the Old High Street.
